Google Tasks – Have you tried the Canvas yet?
Of all the Google Apps, I think Google Tasks are probably the least explored and utilized. I think that might be because people aren’t aware of all the ways they can be useful.
- In Gmail – type tasks into the Pop-Up task box
- Also in Gmail – add emails to the task list (they’re automatically linked!)
- In Google Calendar – tasks with a due date show up in your calendar
- As an iGoogle widget
- Mobile – either in a mobile browser (gmail.com/tasks) or using one of a number of apps (my current favorites for Android –Google Tasks Organizer by TinjaSoft, and GTasks by Dato)
But my favorite tasks workspace is the Google Tasks Canvas. It’s a simple full-browser window view of your tasks:
You can easily switch between your task lists along the left, and manage all the details of your tasks and subtasks, as well as print lists if you want to go “old school” with paper!
